Personality :
Strong-willed, hard-working Socorro is very battle-ready with her sword (but inexperienced with battle itself). This, of course, is only through training and self-teaching. Although she doesn't like to brag, she definitely doesn't like to be underestimated with her sword-fighting skills. Socorro is actually a very friendly person, despite her serious, "rough-around-the-edges" (tomboy? tsundere?) image. Though, because of her outward image, people find her fun to tease.

Story:
Socorro's father was a black smith that had traveled from a small town in Matrie all the way to Patrish. Because of his business and even training with other swordsmen, etc. in the towns of Corona and Milet, her small family became fairly wealthy. People even traveled from other cities in Patrish to train or buy from her father.
Despite the fact that her father is a great swordsman and black smith, he refused to teach his only daughter, Socorro how to use a sword at all; not liking the idea of his daughter fighting after a certain incident. But as he trained others, Socorro secretly watched and trained by herself for hours on end. This is how she became really good, but she isn't the best.
Her goal is to become the best swordswoman in Patrish--or at least good enough to surpass her father--and prove it by trying to help peacefully end the war. So, in the middle of the night, taking one of her father's best-made swords, she ran away to get to her dream. And that is how her journey began.
